The Cells River Trail / 4x4 Trail | NSW Mid North Coast
Located west of Wauchope off Oxley highway this track follows remnants of the original highway build by convicts through lush hardwood forests.
It is also an old gold mining area and locals know where to find mine shafts and stamper used to crush gold bearing ore.
The river is still able to produce specs of gold for those who want to give panning a go. Then there is great swimming hole for a refreshing swim.
A spectacular day trip from Wauchope or visitors staying at Mount Seaview. Warning rain and clay can make drive out incredibly challenging - then it’s definitely not recommended for faint hearted
